He was born on February 3, 1956 in Mexico City, within a family of artists. His mother was Ruth Rivera, architect, daughter of painter Diego Rivera and Guadalupe Marín. His father was Pedro Alvarado, son of Clotilde Castañon and Pedro Alvarado Lang , brother of engraver Carlos Alvarado Lang. Pedro Diego Alvarado currently lives and works in Mexico City, is married to Carla Faesler and has two children, Aureliano 23 years and Martina 22 years old. From 1993 to 2000 he was part of the National System of Art Creators.
